Family: Mini Family Session at Fan Pier Park

Most of the time I encourage families to opt for a full session so we all have time to connect as well as to explore and play during our session. I love having the time to get a mix of candids and posed photos, and perhaps even do a little outfit or location time.

That being said, sometimes it’s cold and time is limited. Sometimes even if the situation doesn’t demand it, your kiddos are the kind where less is more. In this case it was all of the above!

So sometimes, a mini session may be worth exploring. To help us get a lot of variety we chose to head to Fan Pier Park on the Harbor. There are plenty of amazing places in downtown Boston and the greater Boston area that offer a lot of variety of backdrops within a short distance.

Fun fact - The C Family booked this session just as they were about to embark on a big, life changing move. Their baby had just been in the hospital (he’s totally okay!), and they were leaving in a few days. Despite the crazy whirlwind they found themselves in, they still made time to capture the importance that was their time in Boston together. They were so positive and happy and connected. This windy, sea swept session captured that energy perfectly, and I kinda wish they didn’t move so far away!

In the short little walk from the ICA to the cobblestoned Harborwalk we got so many great photos of this sweet little family. Even a few of mom and dad!!
