It may not be grad season quite yet, but we’re already getting ready for it and we know your are too! As we’re writing this, most of you have finished finals and are enjoying a little winter break. As you get ready for graduation, you may be considering a photo session to celebrate your accomplishments. If that’s the case, we think it helps to consider which type of session you want to do.
You can do your grad session solo, with your immediate family, and/or with a group of your friends and fellow graduates! No matter what you choose, we recommend ending with a bottle pop (or a few) like our group below!

Julia contacted us a little after graduation for her session, so campus was super quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves! Her friend came along to help out and cheer her on - we always love that! We snapped a lot of candid style photos and portraits, and focused on photos both in her full gown and hat, and without her hat. Folks can also opt to take some photos out of cap and gown if they’d like. We’re happy to sneak a headshot into your session to help you on the job hunt!
group sessions
If you’ve been around our blog you know we love group graduation sessions, and Tufts campus is a beautiful place to hold your session. When we have a bigger group, the sessions are longer and we can go to all the best spots on campus - Eaton Hall, President’s Lawn, Goddard Chapel, Ballou Hall, and of course the Jumbo Statue!
Group sessions are 2 or 3 hours in length. This way we have time to visit all of those spots we mentioned above while having fun with a variety of group and individuals poses. Expect lots of hat throwing! Here’s another example of a group graduation session.
