Crystal & Andi’s Intimate Dearly Studio + Wild Child Wedding

Crystal and Andi first crossed paths in July 2015 at Aeronaut Brewing Company during a trivia night with mutual friends. They wound up ordering the exact same three beers in a row (all different types), which became the perfect icebreaker — and by the end of the night, they’d talked until 2 a.m. Crystal started calling Andi her “beer buddy,” which feels especially funny now since neither of them really drinks beer anymore.

After years together — and plenty of conversations about getting married — they decided to make it official in a way that felt true to them: intimate, community-centered, and unapologetically queer.

Our time started with a walk from their hotel just outside union square. The way the sun hit Market Basket was kind of iconic (IFYKY) and as we sped past High Energy Vintage and through the golden light, we got to Bow Market just in time for a few photos with all these Chinese New Year decorations.

Their looks were pure magic: Andi wore a dark green sequined mini dress by Elie Saab with Saint Laurent heels, while Crystal stunned in a floor-length dusty rose sequined gown by Terani Couture with the most killer cat-print heels. Hair by Summer Mathis and makeup by Lexie Hannan (and Crystal herself) tied it all together — edgy, elegant, and completely their own.

Dearly Studio, tucked inside Somerville’s Bow Market, provided the perfect setting for their ceremony. They’re long time regulars of the market, so it made sense to be the backdrop for their shared vows and champagne toasts alongside their closest people. Crystal even played Andy a song and sang during their ceremony. It was a one of a kind moment in a one of a kind place.

In Dearly tradition, they signed the iconic wall — marking their wedding as officially a done deal and making them a permanent part of Bow Market history. I just love this part of the celebrations at Dearly: a space as rooted in community as the people who end up getting married there. The signature wall is what it’s all about!

After a few night photos in and outside of Dearly, in true Bow Market fashion, everyone wandered over to Wild Child for dinner and wine — a laid-back, joy-filled reception surrounded by good friends, great food, and even better vibes.

Every part of this day celebrated what makes them who they are: bold, joyful, and deeply connected to their queer community.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels intimate, creative, and completely your own, Dearly Studio is one of my favorite places to make that happen. It’s a space built for connection — and every couple who says I do there becomes part of its story (and the signature wall!).

Whether you’re planning a champagne toast, a Bow Market stroll, or a dinner at Wild Child afterward, I’d love to help you document it all.
