Engagement: L+J's Proposal | Harvard Square

I just love surprise proposals. Love is incredible no matter how you display it or feel it or own it - but surprise proposals are some of the most incredible testimonials of a person's love for their partner. The thought, planning, and care that always goes into these moments is a part of what makes it all so special, and every time I get contacted to do one of these shoots I JUMP at the chance. It's a little extra planning, and a little more hectic (you only have one chance to get that shot!) but it's so, SO worth it!

For this shoot, Larissa contacted me just two weeks before the big day where she was planning to propose to Jillian on the Charles for their anniversary. The weather was not on our side, so after the big storm that hit Boston just a couple of days before our shoot, I set out to find some perfect spots for us. I then worked covertly on a map for Larissa to follow by foot to get to the proposal location, and on the timeline for the day (which included a surprise engagement dinner with all of Jillian's family and friends).

It's no surprise - Jillian said yes! Even though it wasn't in the scope of our work together, I offered for them join me for a little pre-dinner engagement session. I loved them THAT MUCH. I have no doubt that you'll be able to see why below.
