somerville wedding photographer for marriers who value authenticity

โ€œAmanda made everything feel so natural. We didnโ€™t feel like we were posing for photos, it just felt like we were smiling and happy because we were getting married.โ€

Your wedding = your truth

Dearly Studio is more than a wedding chapel in our neighborhoodโ€”itโ€™s a place weโ€™re personally connected to. We spend our own time at Bow Market, supporting local businesses and the creative ecosystem it nurtures. We also co-founded Queerly Beloved alongside Dearlyโ€™s own Jusmine (fresh off The Knotโ€™s Ones to Watch), so this space feels like communityโ€”not just a venue. We know the area intimately, and weโ€™re uniquely equipped to guide you through an incredible wedding day at Dearly Studio.

โ€œAmanda hit all the points we were looking for when searching for a photographer for our wedding. Once we started working with her it was very clear that she's the type of person that goes above and beyond expectations. From booking to sending us our photos, our communication was flawless. We couldn't recommend her enough!โ€

Why hello there, lovebirds!

Iโ€™m Amanda, a Boston photographer documenting weddings, families, and brands across New England.

A happy blonde girl with blue frames and hoop earrings smiles at the camera.

I exist to empower you to take up space and celebrate your truth joyfully and boldly.

I also like to make people laugh and scream with excitement because your memories should be just as good as the pictures we create.

When Iโ€™m your wedding photographer, you can expect

Clean lighting that adds to the vibes instead of ruining your moments

True-to-life skin tones for you and all of your guests

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Full-day wedding collections begin at $7,000, with elopements and couples sessions starting at $1,200. Full pricing details are available upon request, and every collection is fully customizable. Letโ€™s chat about what youโ€™re planning and build an experience that fits your day, your priorities, and your people.

  • We shoot primarily on Nikon digital cameras with Profoto lighting, and typically have three to four camera bodies with us on a wedding day, along with a full range of lenses and lighting tools to adapt to whatever the day throws our way โ€” bright sun, candlelit ceremonies, dance-floor chaos, you name it.

If youโ€™re someone who loves the nitty-gritty technical details, weโ€™re always happy to nerd out โ€” just send us a note.

  • Yes โ€” and we love it. Film is an optional add-on and something we use intentionally. Depending on your coverage, this may include a mix of medium format (Pentax 6ร—7), 35mm point-and-shoots, and Polaroids, plus the occasional vintage camera for a little extra magic.

As a general rule, film coverage averages about one roll of film and one Polaroid per hour weโ€™re photographing, though this can flex depending on the pace and feel of your day.

  • Thatโ€™s totally okay โ€” we have options. Many midweek elopements, City Hall weddings, and smaller or mid-size celebrations are photographed solo by Amanda.

Coverage is always customized to fit your specific needs. In some cases, Mike may join in a supporting or assistant role, and other days he may be home hanging with Junie, our very important studio pup. Weโ€™ll talk through what makes the most sense for your day and make a plan that feels right.

  • On average, you can expect around 75-100 fully edited images per hour of coverage. This isnโ€™t a hard cap โ€” itโ€™s just a helpful guideline. Our priority is delivering a complete, story-driven gallery that reflects the full energy, emotion, and flow of your wedding day.

  • We believe deeply in loving people exactly as they are. That means no reshaping bodies, no changing faces or features โ€” you are not a โ€œbefore,โ€ and you never will be here.

We will, however, quietly remove the random, temporary distractions that sneak into real life โ€” the stuff that pulls focus away from the moment โ€” while keeping everything true to how the day actually felt. Messy can be beautiful and we often lean into it, but when something feels unnecessary or distracting, weโ€™ll thoughtfully clean it up here and there.

In short: weโ€™re here to celebrate you honestly, beautifully, and with a whole lot of love for exactly who you are.

  • Heck yes we do! Weโ€™ve lived in the neighborhood for seven years, and weโ€™re both Massachusetts nativesโ€”Mikeโ€™s from Arlington and Amandaโ€™s from Chelmsford. We love New England and have so many ideas and resources depending on what youโ€™re looking for (date-night spots, coffee, museums, post-ceremony hangs, where to take out-of-towners, you name it).

THE full send

$2,500 | 3 hours

We can meet for a first look at a nearby park (or another favorite spot) for some extra portraits. If youโ€™re celebrating at one of Dearlyโ€™s partner locations, we can swap the wandering for coverage there insteadโ€”candids, toasts, and the first part of your reception, documented as it actually feels.

  • 3 hours of coverage with Amanda as your lead photographer and Mike in a supporting role (though letโ€™s be realโ€”Amanda still hands him cameras anyway).

  • AMP Wedding Planning Booklet (95 pages)

  • Personalized Client Portal for easy, organized planning

A stylish, cute couple dig for records after being pronounced husband and wife at Dearly Studio in Somerville's Bow Market.

BOW MARKET takeover

$4,500 | 5 hours

Go big in a very Bow Market way. This one is made for multi-part celebrationsโ€”Dearly Studio vows, then Upstairs at Bow, Juliet, a private dinner, a buyout moment, a dance floor, or a night-out-in-the-city vibe. We can swap in more getting-ready coverage, too. Five hours gives us room to document the full story without rushing it, so you can stay present, soak it all in, and let us tell it with intention.

Includes:

  • 5 hours of coverage with both Mike and Amanda as your photographers

  • Up to 100 high-res images per hour of contracted coverage

  • Online, shareable gallery (hosted for 3 months)

  • AMP Wedding Planning Booklet (95 pages)

  • Personalized Client Portal for easy, organized planning

  • Want a little analog magic? Choose Polaroids, 35mm, medium format (120)โ€”or mix and match.

    • Polaroids: starting at $250

    • 35mm:$750

    • Medium format (120):$1,000

  • If you want broader coverage and more candids, add Mike. Heโ€™s not a random associateโ€”heโ€™s part of AMP and knows our flow inside and out. Itโ€™s the best upgrade when things overlap (two locations, guests arriving, parallel moments) and you want more angles without more stress.

  • Most Dearly weddings are quickies, so an engagement session is the perfect way to tell the bigger storyโ€”your real-life rhythm, your places, your vibe. Itโ€™s also a low-pressure way to get comfortable with our approach so the wedding day feels effortless.

  • Letโ€™s talk wedding albums. You and I both know you mean to make one, but letโ€™s be real: the software is clunky, decision fatigue is brutal, and nothing kills the vibe like a crashing designer at midnight. Weโ€™ll take it from hereโ€”expertly crafting your story into a finished heirloom thatโ€™s fully archival, beautifully made, and worthy of the day (and the investment) you poured into it.

  • Do people still use USBs? Not really. Do we still love a beautifully personalized box with one inside as a tangible keepsake? Absolutely. Think of it as a grab-and-go backup and a little heirloom you can tuck away (or gift to a loved one)โ€”your photos, packaged in a way that feels intentional and lasting. As with any drive, itโ€™s not meant to be your only backup, but itโ€™s a great extra layer to have.
